Endometrial ablation: Endometrial ablation is done via hysteroscopy by laser, electrocautery, or balloon. It requires that there be no endometrial cancer or other pathology like a sub-mucous uterine fibroid in place. It does not always completely stop the heavy bleeding but can significantly reduce it in many patients. Pregnancy will no longer be possible post procedure.
