Recurrent cystitis: complex issue and certainly requires both GYN and urology consultations to include repetitive urine analysis, culture and possibly cystoscopy to exam the lining of your bladder. Here are some simple suggestions: Force fluids: 8-10 glasses of electrolyte water drinks (Powerade, G, Vitamin Water). Avoid all citrus fruits/drinks: orange, grapefruit, lemon, lime, tomatoes, etc. Abstain sexually for 5-7 days while on medication (including oral and anal sex ). No tight underwear, thongs, tight jeans or swimsuits. Finish all antibiotic therapy.

UTI: You should get evaluated by a urologist but constipation and or not enough fluids can be a risk factor
