A member asked:

Can a yeast infection cause you to get a urinary tract infection?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes -yeast will help: other germs. Think of it this way - the germs are having a 'party' at your expense. So if you have symptoms of urinary frequency, burning or discomfort, and/or abnormal smell or appearance of the urine - you could have a UTI as well as candidal vaginitis. Sorry! But your doc should be able to help - I recommend to call over there. A urinalysis will confirm the exact 'cause' of the infection.
