Normal healing: What you describe seems to be normal. If you have severe pain, fever, swelling, foul odor, persistent bleeding, see you Dentist. If not, keep your next regularly scheduled appointment. Also, be sure to talk to your Dentist about replacing the canine before the surrounding and opposing teeth collapse ito the canine space.
