Pretty bad: If you are asking about colon cancer that has spread to the liver then you are dealing with advanced, grade 4 disease. Prognosis would be poor. Sorry.

Depends: While colon cancer that has spread distantly is considered stage IV (of 4) and has the worst prognosis, there are patients with isolated metastasis to the liver who do quite well with surgical resection with or without chemotherapy. We find that 40% of those with resectable liver tumors can live over 5 years. Consider evaluation at a cancer center with a surgical oncologist or hpb surgeon.
