Scapula pain: Pain in this area can be due to scapula pathology itself or due to a pinched nerve root which emanates from the vertebrae in the neck. Another possibility is a lung lesion or inflammation of the lung lining(pleurisy). Your physician will take a history, perform a physical examination and order appropriate tests in order to make a diagnosis.
