See below: As described, your common injury should heal completely over a period of ~2-3 weeks. Clean, pink tissue is good sign in the healing process. Most important is to prevent a secondary infection by keeping it clean with good soap and water hand washing and covering it if possible by an appropriate non-adherent, sterile bandage/dressing. Fingertip sensation may be altered for a while.
