Urinalysis: Your doctor can perform a urinalysis in the office to determine if a bladder infection is present. If so they can treat it with antibiotics.

See below : Your symptoms certainly “could” be related to a UTI. Typically, with a UTI, a Urinalysis (U/A) will show many white cells (WBCs) and often some degree of red cells (RBCs) as well. However, a U/A can be very unreliable at times whereas a clean-catch urine specimen for Urine culture and sensitivity can more reliably rule out or confirm a UTI plus identify the bacteria and antibiotics that will work.
