Yes: Yes, you can and should take an emergency contraceptive. Plan B is available over the counter and is effective up to 3 days after unprotected sex. Keep in mind that ella, which you need a prescription for, is more effective if it has been 3-5 days since unprotected sex, or if you have a BMI over 30.
