A member asked:

My sons ot is advising my son has adhd, and i should put him on ritalin. what should i do next?

OT ?????????: I can certainly see where anyone that has contact with a kid may feel he is inattentive, but I don't see where an OT has the qualifications to recommend anything more than an evaluation. Far to many observers anoint themselves as expert in this area. I would bring it up with the kids doc but might also report the OT to their supervisor.
