A member asked:

What is the cause of a sharp pain above my left eye whenever i stand up after sitting/lying down? the pain usually lasts for only a few seconds.

Nerve: The supraorbital nerve about that eye apparently becomes irritable or pinched by some muscle contraction in the forehead when you assume these position changes. If this fleeting discomfort is your only symptom it's probably not worthwhile investigating it any further. However if you still have concerns or if new symptoms develop or this worsen, consult an ophthalmologist for evaluation and advice
