IUD: Sex will not cause any harm to the IUD - even deep or "rough" sex will not dislodge or move the IUD. If the IUD was placed 9 days ago, she is now protected from pregnancy and it is safe to rely on the IUD for contraception. However, it is always still a good idea to use a condom for extra protection and to protect from STDs.
