A member asked:

Is it normal for a 12 year old child to throw up and feel tired day after meningitis vaccine? what should we do?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends on symptoms: Normal healthy people don't throw up. Some reasons for a preteen or teen to throw up include: eating or drinking something too quickly, running around after eating, motion sickness such as riding in a car (especially after eating), strep throat, the Flu, stomach virus, eating oily food, antibiotics such as azithromycin, being scared or anxious, etc... Getting a vaccine may be just a coincidence.
