It should not matter: It is safer not to be more then 12 hours late....but, I do not believe that being 24 hours late one time will have any significant impact....i believe that it takes a while to reset the ovulatory cycle after being on BCP's for a while...Dr. Wellner

At the same time: It is better to take the pill at the same time every day. It is not safe to let 24 hours pass between pills. Wish you good health! - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. Practice safe sex, if you have sex. Get HPV vaccine

Create a routine: For the pill to work it needs to maintain a relatively stable level of hormone (pill med) in your blood. This prevents egg release. No egg= no pregnancy. Miss a pill= hormone level drops=egg released=risk. Take the pill at a regular time & this won't happen. Incorporate it in your morning or evening routine & it won't be forgotten. The less delay in a missed dose the less likely for failure.
