At the usual places: The shingles vaccine can be obtained at the usual places: doctor's office, drugstore, or public health clinic. A patient should call first to see if the facility routinely gives the shingles vaccine, has it in stock, and has the personnel available to give the vaccine at a time convenient for the patient. There are now 2 types of vaccine: Shingrix is the preferred one, Zostavax is the older one.

Hard to say: There is more than one available and the newest one may or may not be available in your clinic or docs office. We have no way of knowing who your docs are, what they stock, whether a pharmacy would carry it, etc. Since these are pricy you need to find out if your insurance would cover it. Make a few calls to local sources & they should be able to help you.
