Not typically: While sleep apnea and nightmares or night terrors are both sleep disorders, they are typically not related.

Anything's possible: Nightmares can be the result of many things- emotional and/or physical. Sleep apnea may contribute some sort of cause, if the breathing mechanism is shut off during sleep and triggers a response as a nightmare or similar to one. If it reoccurs, i would see a sleep specialist asap.
