Lip swelling: Often this problem is due to applying lip balm or other substances that come in contact with your face. Beeswax,which many lip balm products contain, is felt to be irritating to the lips. If you can't pinpoint the cause ,consult a dermatologist. In the meantime try applying cortisone type cream.
