See details: X rays can be normal and there can still be a problem. An MRI would be the next step. Consider a consultation with an orthopedist.

Knee injury. Crackly sound when bending and stabbing pain. X-ray was normal. I lost 80 lbs in 8 months was in PT and about to be discharged bc I could walk up to 2 miles and bike up to 4 miles without problems before the injury. Dr would not listen?
