Estrogen supplements: At 54, if you are not yet at "true menopause" (lack of any estrogen production from ovarian sources), regular use of estrogen creams will produce a blood level of estrogen comparable to oral administrations. Check with your gyn provider for a serum estrogen test, and/or whether low dose estrogen with periodic progesterone administration might be easier and as safe as what you are using currently.
