51yo, just given estrace (estradiol) cream. insert suggests not smoking. i am a smoker. i thought this type was not systemic. should i use it? replens no help.

Talk to your MD: You need to go over this agenda with the MD who prescribed the Estrace (estradiol) cream who can clearly explain the reasons of its' use and any attendant complications, which should have been done prior to Rx.

Stop smoking: Although there is not a great deal of absorption, there is some and smoking and estrogens in older women don't mix. Use the need for estrogen as an added incentive to stop smoking.
