Do you need to - NO: you do not need to experience false labor - although there is no such thing as false labor - you are either IN labor or you are NOT in labor - so no such thing as false labor.

Worrisome post: If you feel you are having regular & strong contractions early you need to contact your delivery team or go to labor/delivery. You may be in premature labor and it may need to be stopped. Newborns are much less likely to end up in the special care nursery if they are delivered at term. Call or go in now.
