See below: This depends on the severity and the causes of your anemia. I assume the cause is from pregnancy and surgery. Iron pill supplement and proper diet rich in iron (red meat, egg yolk, greens, mollusks, enriched cereals/grains, beans, lentils, dried fruits, cook a in cast iron pan, & vit c) should help. Consult with your OB for how long you should get iron supplement.
