Brain @ end of life: We believe that during the last stages of life, this natural stage of life that we will all go through, called "dying", that the brain is still active. Our loved ones may appear to be sleeping, or they may appear to be inactive and interacting with things that we can see. Many dying people go through "terminal delirium" and appear to be having conversations with long-dead loved ones.
