A member asked:

When you pass out, does it mean your temporarily dead? does your brain still work?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No and yes: Passing out often results from lack of blood flow to the brain, but the deep structures still keep blood going back to your heart and your lungs breathing; you're very much alive.
