A member asked:

It'd be possible that a person with a hole in his heart ever become a father?

Of course: Ventricular septal defects are always worth following but some need not be treated. Atrial septal defects usually get missed; i just picked up a probable ASD in an elite athlete. Do stay under supervision and if you're offered treatment -- especially some of these new-fangled minimally-invasive closures -- think about accepting.
