Low HR: There are many reasons for the low heart rate, but the most common cause in the hospitalized setting is probably overmedication, e.g. too much beta blocker or digoxin ... Sinus bradycardia can also occur with the aging process, high potassium levels, etc etc. It is important to note all of these, to do a thorough check of all meds, find out his baseline HR before going to assisted living, etc etc
