There are: two small " lingual tonsils "in the area you describe and infection in these "secondary" tonsils may be infected or have "reactive" tissue to your chronic pharyngeal tonsil infection..... Ask your ENT specialist....if this is possible... BTW I do not think your daughter's thrush is iimplicated in your present situation.. Hope this helps Dr Z
