A member asked:

Doctor prescribed stemitil 5mg for my 16 month old baby. he has rotavirus. is stemitil not for schisophrynia. is it safe for my baby?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Discuss w/ your dr: Stemetil is usually prescribed for children 2 yrs and older for severe nausea and vomiting. Less commonly, it is prescribed for schizophrenia. If you have questions about the use and indication of this medication, I would ask your doctor for his or reasons for prescribing this med and discuss the risks and benefits of treatment with him or her.
