Period for 12 days: This is abnormal at age 29, and may be due to several causes. First, if pregnancy is possible, get a serum HCG test immediately. Pregnancies outside the uterus (ectopic) need attention. If negative, see your gyn physician for an exam and testing. A miscarriage, uterine polyps or "fibroid tumors" can cause this sort of bleeding.
