A member asked:

Continuously holding your breath while pregnant? could it prevent baby from getting any oxygen?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: The fetus gets his or her oxygen via the placenta, which draws oxygen directly from your blood. Since holding your breath won't significantly deoxygenate your blood, it cannot deprive your fetus of oxygen. Hope this helps!
