Hemorrhoids: In my experience troublesome hemorrhoids are best treated by a proctologist. In the meantime, if itching or burning is the problem, apply an ointment or cream like anusol. If pain, sit in hot water,pat dry and then apply the ointment. Anusol with hydrocortisone relieves itching. For bleeding from external hemorrhoids,banding often helps. Consult the proctologist first.

Some creams can help: relieve uncomfortable symptoms such as Proctocort. There are creams and suppositories but they all require a prescription. If you have the hemorrhoids removed, they stop bothering you.
