Is it normal to get heart palpitations after exercise if you have mitral valve prolapse? i felt fine other wise &it settled down after a couple of hrs

Needs investigation.: It’s unusual for one to have palpitations, or an elevated heart rate with palpitations we’ll say, for a couple of hours after stopping exercise. Heart rate recovery after exercise should occur more quickly than that. You’d benefit from wearing a Holter monitor during and after your exercise to qualify what’s going on.
