Opiate Withdrawal: protocols are highly individual, and based upon withdrawal symptoms. Because opiate withdrawal is not life threatening, but is highly uncomfortable, the length of treatment is tailored to the patient's symptom severity and duration. If your sister's symptoms are well controlled, no duration is too fast. Hope this helps!
