Genital herpes: Sometimes it is difficult to know for sure if new genital herpes due to HSV2 is really newly acquired. But if it's certain she was infected recently, and if you're her only partner, then you are the source. Genital HSV2 without symptoms is quite common. You need a blood test to see if you have it. OTOH, if she actually has longstanding HSV2, you may have been exposed but not (yet) infected.
