Many possibilities: Many things can throw off you period. If you are not pregnant, it could be other hormones such as your thyroid, stress can effect menstruation, low body weight, other medical conditions. Recommend follow up with gynecologist You can still get pregnant after a tubal. There is a higher risk of ectopic tubal pregnancies. Go to ER if develop abdominal pain

Period late?: After a delivery, your cycles may not resume regularly, especially if you are nursing. The stress of lack of sleep and the recovery process from an emergency C-section can inhibit ovulation, which delays the onset of your period. To be certain, b/c some tubal ligations do not "work", get a serum HCG test to be sure you are not pregnant.
