A member asked:

I have a small whitish spot on the bottom part of my iris that is visible when looking through the mirror i think its a brushfield spot are those bad?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Unlikely: Brushfield spots are a an accumulation of extra mid- iris pigment in a bundle seen in most often identified in patients with Down syndrome. What you describe does not sound like such a spot and I doubt you would be able to write out this question if you had DS. Have your doc look at it during your next visit. I don't think it is worth a visit by itself.
