Get the big picture: Most important is serum albumin, which can drop for a variety of reasons, but notably in poor protein / total nutrient intake. People who subsist on junk food or fall for diets by health charlatans can end up having labs demonstrate deficiencies in vitamins a, d, folic acid, b12, iron, and some others -- all too common. Cholesterols and triglycerides are influenced some by diet as well.
