Needs exam/tests: At this age this could be a transient minor issue, a broken or cracked bone, or a dangerous joint infection. Some of these will develop fluid in the hip joint if they jump down with their heal out. Hours later they won't walk but it gets better in a day or 2 and resume normal activity. Joint infections would have fever; breaks a history of trauma or fall. An exam or tests would sort this out.
