HIV and std's: Any contact with an individual who has an std or HIV is capable of transmitting either. If you have pain on urination or a discharge, get tested by your healthcare provider. With possible HIV, you will have to wait another month or two to have a negative test for HIV which will be valid, secondary to the slow incubation period for the disease.
