Maybe, maybe not: Life is full of possibilities, including getting HIV from a prostitute. The reason for that is because prostitutes "meet a lot of people"; and the more people one "meets", the more chances there are to catch hiv. Before enjoying activities with a prostitute, either confirm with said prostitute that he or she does not have hiv, or be one of those folks who doesn't worry about things after the fact.

Not likely: While HIV is in body fuids, infection usually requires contact of these fluids with mucous membranes or broken skin. It is a fragile virus that dies quickly when these fluids dry up on surfaces or objects. In theory the virus likely will die on the surface of the hands when it dries off, but it is not worth the risk of unwittingly smearing HIV on an unnoticed cut in the skin.
