A member asked:

How accurate is fine needle biopsy for mole? doctors did biopsy with hematoxyline + eosin on my raised 7cm mole that's enlarged w/ its color along with the skin around it changed recently. lot's of bleeding but they sent me off with nothing spotted.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Biopsy: Biopsies are usually accurate with a correct path report. However multiple biopsies of a lesion that size may be indicated. You might want to see a dermatologist for a second opinion.
