A member asked:

I have been having a runny stomach for a week, taking antibiotic. it no difference, please help?

Runny: If you're referring to diarrhea, it can be caused by an intestinal tract viral infection for which antibiotics are not useful. Antibiotics often cause diarrhea. Antibiotics are used to treat cases of diarrhea caused by pathogenic bacteria but these should be confirmed by a positive stool culture. Treat simple diarrhea with a no roughage diet and take kaopectate or imodium. Take probiotics too
