A member asked:

I'm male 24 years i had warts in anal from 4 years ago i made hpv pcr blood test for high risk strains but i heard that no hpv blood test ?the truth?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Mixed answer: There are blood tests for a variety of HPV strains (ELISA) but these are somewhat limited to research centers. The primary public testing for high risk strains is done on pap smear cells. The wart strains are not associated with forms of cancer.
