Depends: Many patients have polycystic-appearing ovaries found on sonograms, but still have normal monthly cycles where they release eggs - so fertility shouldn't be impaired.If one has pcos and irregular periods, then it means they aren't ovulating regularly and it can be harder (very hard) to conceive; sometimes they will require ovulation induction medications or infertility treatments.
