Is it okay for me to get flu vaccination while breastfeeding?

Yes: I would only get the injected (killed) vaccine not the nasal (live) vaccine. People who get the live vaccine do have a very mild infection & can shed the weakened flu germ for weeks. The injected vaccine helps you develop antibodies to flu without placing baby at any risk that might be present in the live vaccine (which is not given to kids under 5).
