Sure, but...: When using an "ice pack" or "cold pack," be sure to use it only for a certain number of minutes at a time, to help avoid frostbite (which kills skin cells). For example, one should not get the skin too cold and end up freezing the skin. Also, one may want to set a maximum cooling time, such as using a cold pack 20 minutes ON, then 40 minutes OFF, then 20 minutes ON, etc... Frostbite would be bad.
