Probably not serious: If only a single bump and it is painless and unchanging in size or appearance over a few days, probably it is harmless, maybe a sebacerous cyst, blocked mucus gland, or fibroma. Professional examination is the only way to know, so see your doctor. Avoid any temptation to manipulate, poke, squeeze it, etc. Hands off entirely until examined. Stay relaxed in meantime; it doesn't sound serious.
