is it safe and healthy to eat french fries?

1 doctor answer
Dr. Richard Bensinger
51 years experience Ophthalmology
Not really: The problem with French fries is that they become saturated with oil. Restaurants don't always use new oil for each batch. So you are getting extra calories from oil, Precious few nutrients, and possible mild toxicity from degraded cooking oil. They do taste terrific however.
