How do you tell if you have a swollen gland or if theres a blood clot in your neck?

Different: A blood clot in the carotid artery produces neurological signs and symptoms such as a stroke. A clot in the jugular vein backs up blood into the head and face. A swollen gland is usually a round movable mass that may or may not be tender depending on whether inflammation is present.
