A member asked:

Accidentally consumed half of an uncooked chicken tender; what are my chances of salmonella?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Very remote: Salmonella generally comes from the organism being on the chicken from somewhere in the processing chain. Your chance of this happening is remote. If the media reports a local epidemic related to chicken then you might get checked out. Otherwise, just wait and most likely you will have no problem if you are currently without symptoms.
